RMB was among 23 organisations nominated by their Reservist employees. The awards acknowledge the contribution and support they give that allows employees to fulfil their Reserve duties.
The Wollongong based law firm employs three Army Reservists in Captain Stacy Ford, Lt Hanna Ayoub and Lt James Parish. RMB has also recently introduced a military leave policy that enables Reservists to attend training activities, courses and exercises when required.
Managing partner Craig Osborne said the quality of the high-level training the Reservists receive is valuable to any business. “There is also their ability to understand different perspectives which our clients really appreciate and it makes for a great communicator and team player,” he said.
Stacy Ford, a solicitor with RMB and a Captain with 4/3 RNSWR, nominated RMB Lawyers for an award.
He hopes it encouraged more businesses to consider flexible working conditions “not just to give back to the community, but to improve the outcomes of their own businesses’’.
