Hawks taking nothing for granted

AS much as we’ve enjoyed our last two performances we’ve very much kept things in perspective heading into this weekend.

What I’ve been sure to remind the guys of this week is the hard work, sacrifice and commitment they’ve shown to go back to two-a-day sessions and work harder than they’ve ever worked to get out of that rut we were in.

Right now I want them to enjoy the moment but at the same time we’re going to New Zealand, they’ve lost two games in a row, we beat them pretty well in Wollongong less than two weeks ago so they’re out for redemption.

In this league you can’t afford to lose too many on the trot so I know how pumped up they are going to be, they’re back on their home floor and we need to remember that we got our arses kicked the last time we went over there.

That’s the theme we’re going with this week, we’ve got to continue to work hard, take nothing for granted and know we can’t rest on one really great performance.
