Impressionist, comedian and singer Robbie Howard stars as crooner Frank Sinatra and says he’s lucky to have a regular gig at the famous American casino strip as Las Vegas is becoming a hot spot for big acts.
“Many stars are trying to get in their now which they didn’t before. A lot of people would go to Vegas when they got a little older just to kick back, but now they're trying to make resident of the place – for instance like Rod Stewart is there, Cher, Bette Midler and Shania Twain,” he said.
“It’s a great place to get yourself a name there, and once you do you can pretty much live off that for the rest of your life.”
Sinatra first created his name with Rat Pack friends Sammy Davis Junior and Dean Martin during the 1960’s, a “cool” era which is still popular today.
“Nowadays a lot of television shows and movies are set in that time period,” he said.
“It’s that generation that wants to have martinis and be cool and wear suits.”
