Illawarra residents are also encouraged to comment on the government’s strategy, which will see them acquire vital koala habitat over a five-year period.
A three-month consultation program will include regional community information sessions, stakeholder meetings, webinars and information/feedback via a web portal.
In September a koala was caught on film north-west of Mt Kembla, after an 80 year absence from the Illawarra escarpment.
