Taylor Smith, 14, returned to her Military Road home about 2am on Tuesday.
Police and Ms Smith’s family had held concerns for the teen’s welfare after she left home to go shopping in Wollongong on Thursday.
Until her return on Tuesday morning, she hadn’t been heard from.
Inspector Brian Pedersen, from Lake Illawarra police, said the teen was safe and well.
Monday 4.50pm: Police have appealed for public help locate a girl missing from Port Kembla.
Taylor Smith, 14, was last seen leaving her home on Military Road to go shopping in Wollongong about noon on Thursday.
She has not been able to be contacted since.
Lake Illawarra police and family members hold concerns for her welfare.
The teenager is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 175cm tall, of medium build, with black hair and blonde hair extensions at the back, with blue eyes and nose and ear piercings.
She was last seen wearing black shorts and a T-shirt with denim jacket.
