The Kings twice looked home and hosed only for the shooting prowess of Rotnei Clarke and Oscar Forman to get the Hawks back in the clash and force the Kings to make some big plays down the stretch to get the win.
“We got 19 and up and I was very nervous on the sidelines, Copes [Lanard Copeland] was trying to calm me down because I knew what was coming,” Gaze said post-match.
“They get loose and with Rotnei in the frame of mind he’s in...he hit some unbelievabley good shots.
“Then Oscar got going as well. Some of Oscar’s were our miscommunication, not sticking to our rules so he got some wide open looks and he just knocked them down.
“They were charging and I think it was too our credit that we were able to somehow hang on with some big plays down the stretch.”
