Police were called to Corona Avenue just before 2pm, following reports a stolen Hyundai I30 had been found. Officers attempted to stop the car and a pursuit was initiated. Police will allege the vehicle failed to stop and hit an Audi Q5.
The driver of the Audi, a woman police said was in her 60s, was treated for minor leg injuries and shock.
The male passenger of the Hyundai was taken to Wollongong Hospital with a broken jaw. The driver was uninjured and was taken to Shellharbour Hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.
He was later arrested.
