The Bakers Lane fire has been burning for much of Saturday afternoon.
According to Fire and Rescue NSW, no property is under threat as at 5.30pm
An RFS chopper has been sent to monitor the blaze from the air, but RFS and Fire and Rescue NSW are holding off from sending crews into the bush.
“It’s in an inaccessible area, so we can't get our trucks down to it,” said Fire and Rescue NSW Superintendent Norman Buckley.
“We can’t commit our trucks and fire crews down narrow roads in these areas that are in highly dense bushland, in case the fire spreads [towards] them.
“We’ll sit and wait for the fire to come, then we’ll go around the edges and try and pinch it out.”
An 8000-litre bulk water tanker is on site.
No water bombing is expected to take place in the area.
