Led by Perth Standlick and Chris Friend, Bondi were dominant in heat wins in the Teams, Skins and Girls divisions. Bondi finished with a total of 5525 points to best Culburra (4800) and Scarborough (4450).
“We came second here two years ago and we were unfortunate to not make it to the National Final last year, so we’re over the moon to win this year,” Bondi Boardriders member Chris Friend said.
The win sees Bondi qualify for a national final in Newcastle in February next year against seven other heat winners from around Australia.
“The Bondi Team is an incredibly patriotic club and we want to bring that spirit to the final next year in Newcastle. We can’t wait,” Friend said.
Culburra’s Jordi Watson won the Milwaukee Heavy Duty Hack award.
