Multi-award winning recording artist Christine Anu and the Gateway City Church Choir had young and old alike singing along to a number of Christmas favourites.
Away In A Manger, Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer, The Twelve Days Of Christmas and We Wish You A Merry Christmas were very popular on the night.
Those in attendance also took advantage of some late night shopping with many city centre stores and eateries open until 9pm.
Food stalls were also operating near the stage area under the David Jones pedestrian bridge.
The festive event finished up at 9.30pm with a fabulous fireworks display.
Carols on Crown was presented by Wollongong City Council, Wollongong Central, Wollongong Gateway City Church, CMG AV, i98FM and Illawarra Rotary clubs.
