Mr Trajanovski, 66, was found injured on the footpath outside the Commercial Hotel at Port Kembla shortly before 11pm on Saturday.
He was taken to Wollongong Hospital for treatment but died on Tuesday.
Police from Lake Illawarra Local Area Command have been unable to determine how Mr Trajanovski was injured.
In a renewed appeal on Friday, police called on a number of people who were standing outside the hotel, and may have witnessed Mr Trajanovski’s final waking moments, to make contact.
Police say this group included several children.
Police are particularly eager to speak to patrons who may have attended a Macedonian community function which was being held at a nearby licensed premises on the night.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the online reporting page – https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au/
