It’s been a quarter of a century since folk trio The Waifs was formed by sisters Vikki Thorn and Donna Simpson, and guitarist Josh Cunningham - and they want to celebrate.
The group will be touring the country in March, and stopping by Anita’s Theatre in Thirroul.
While also in the same month they’ll release their new album Ironbark, which was recorded live and acoustic in a makeshift studio on the South Coast (out March 3).
“We decided to sit around a couple of mics with our guitars, a makeshift junk kit & a double bass, press record and play,” they said via their website.
