The new IWIB year will start with a celebrity chef networking lunch featuring Matt Moran at the Novotel Wollongong Northbeach on February 3.
Matt Moran is the latest in a line-up of high profile speakers that have been attracting hundreds to lunches hosted by the businesswomen’s networking group.
Director Glenda Papac said the formula of having a couple of really big name guests had worked well in recent years and the last 12 months had gone particularly well with a couple of bonuses.
“We started off 2016 last February with the Mark Bouris lunch at the Novotel Wollongong Northbeach. He was an exceptional speaker,” she said.
Another highlight was the Royal Caribbean cruise lunch run with the help of Destination Wollongong.
That saw Royal Caribbean senior vice president International Gavin Smith travel from London to speak ahead of the maiden cruise industry voyage to Wollongong by Radiance of the Seas.
“Then we heard from Ian Thorpe. And our conference day was also exceptional,” Mrs Papac said.
As was the IWIB Awards Day where she said it was great to hear the many inspirational stories from the winners.
“You could actually feel the love in the room and the happiness from the award winners,” Mrs Papac said.
The 2017 awards are in May. Tickets to the Matt Morean lunch are can be booked at www.iwib.com.au.
