A teenager has been taken to hospital in a serious condition after he came off his pushbike in bushland at Balgownie.
Emergency services were called to the incident off Hutchinson Drive, near Doonan Place, just after 2.30pm on Thursday.
A NSW Ambulance spokesman said the boy – believed to be aged in his early teens – sustained a laceration to his head and a possible chest injury.
He was also treated for shoulder and back pain, the spokesman said.
The boy was taken by road ambulance to Wollongong Hospital.
