The shared path from Belmore Basin and North Beach will be closed for the duration of the project, with no access available to the rock pools for 18 months.
To maintain access to the Continental Pool, a temporary elevated walkway will be installed across the foreshore at Wollongong Harbour. It will be parallel to the current seawall and will be accessible for people with disability and mobility issues.
To provide space, the dinghies located along the existing seawall will be moved and secured to the temporary walkway by the council in early March.
Vessel owners can contact council on 4227 7111 or email council@wollongong.nsw.gov.au.
