A man stands accused of stalking women on social media before talking them into a meeting and sexually assaulting them.

The 27-year-old, from Rothbury, has been charged with 28 offences relating to five alleged victims aged between 16 and 20.
Police will allege the suspect had randomly targeted the women on Facebook before they accepted his friend request and started corresponding online.
The conversations turned to meeting up before he is alleged to have assaulted them.
It will be alleged the man sexually and indecently assaulted two girls, aged 16 and 17, and three woman, aged 18, 19 and 20, between November 2013 and January 2017.
He has been charged with 28 offences including 12 counts of sexual assault, 9 counts of indecent assault, three counts of assault with act of indecency with a person under 16, and three counts of take/detain person with intent to obtain advantage, as well as one count of common assault.
The man was refused bail when he appeared in Maitland Local Court on Monday and will reappear at Newcastle Local Court on Monday 27 February 2017.
