Moran’s appearance as guest speaker at the first Illawarra Women in Business (IWIB) networking lunch of the year comes just days before The Illawarra Connection’s first black-tie networking dinner of the year in the same venue on February 7.
Australian IT Security Forum co-founder Chris Joscelyne is the first speaker in the Grand Ballroom and will talk about his role as an IT security advisor and thought leader whose clients have included government departments and agencies in Australia and New Zealand, and non-government enterprises such as major banks.
He also has more than 40 years service as a Rotarian and is the marketing chairman for Rotary Oceania Medical Aid for Children (ROMAC).
Ms Tiegs said the event was open to men and women and funds will be raised for Relationships Australia and the Salvation Army’s Carinya Cottage.
Meanwhile Australian Centre for Leadership for Women director Diann Rodgers-Healey is running an event to celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD) in the Illawarra at Nan Tien Temple on March 8. The keynote address is by Jenny Macklin MP and there will be a panel Discussion with seven diverse Illawarra women and an essay presenation by Illawarra high school students.

Back to the event that starts it all for the year this week Mrs Papac said she always liked to start the IWIB year on a high and this Friday’s lunch at the Novotel is open to the general public to book at www.iwib.com.au.
“There will be none of the usual IWIB formaities.There will be plenty of networking as well as Matt Moran being an inspiring speaker,” she said.
Mrs Papac said Moran was regarded as one of Australia’s most influential and recognisable chefs as well as a highly respected business person who runs 10 successful restaurants and employs more than 600 people.
Meanwhile the Illawarra Business Chamber’s first Business After Hours networking event for 2017 is set to be a picturesque one at the new look Headlands Austinmer Beach on February 7.
It boasts a new conference space for business and the free event to members is being hosted Headlands along with the business chamber and Australia Post.
