Yep, the name of this beer is Beer Can. And, yes, it does come in a can.

The unusual name of the beer is in keeping with the unusual nature of Moon Dog, the brewery that created it.
The Melbourne-based brewer has made a name for being, well, a bit different.
They’ve made wild ales with cherry plums, stouts with 5800 Redskin lollies and pair of beers designed to taste like a Golden Gaytime and Pine Lime Splice.
That said, the name of this beer is the only weird thing about it. Well, that and the fact there’s no mention of what sort of beer is in the can.
I only worked out it was a lager because that’s what category Dan Murphy’s had put it in.
Apparently it’s a Mexican lager – that is, if Mexican lager came with some lovely fruit characters and some bitterness in it.
For that’s what you get with Beer Can. It throws some nice guava and melon aromas, which follow through on the palate (I understand it’s made with some cold press tropical fruit juice).
There’s also more bitterness than you’d expect from a so-called Mexican lager, but not enough to be stupid or anything.
With the temperatures tipped to get crazy this weekend, it’s a good time to stay indoors and keep cool.
And make sure you have a few of these chilling in the fridge.
