Ms Bauer has been running her business Dancers4Event from Italy where she became a mum 18 months ago.
She returned home just before Christmas with a view to providing even more opportunities for local dancers to perform in the Illawarra.
She is holding an audition this Sunday for dancers interested in performing in a 1920’s style Chicago cabaret show at HeyDay on April 7 and a Moulin Rouge style show with CMG Audio Visual at the University Hall in July.
Ms Bauer said the show at University of Wollongong would be a real extravaganza with an rig for aerial acrobatics and a full cast of showgirls.
“And at HeyDay there will be three singers, six dancers and two aerialists,” she said.
Ms Bauer previously spent many years dancing in Europe and a few years ago started a long term dream to bring all she learned back to Wollongong so local dancers could have the chance to do similar work close to home.
She is encouraging anyone interested in auditioning to find the details and contact her on the Dancers 4 Events – Thais Entertainment Facebook page.
Ms Bauer worked in Europe for a decade before first returning home in 2014 start her own dance business.
She quickly put together a troupe of 15 experienced dancers eager to use their home town of Wollongong as a base for work.
It wasn’t long before the Dancers4Events team were performing locally..Sydney and interstate with shows on the Gold Coast and Melbourne.
But what they always want to do most is more shows in Wollongong.
Ms Bauer knows there is a wealth of international standard dance talent we have in Wollongong wanting to stay based closed to family.
She has also been providing an avenue to help develop emerging local talent with her knowledge and experience.
She knows there are many performers who don't want to go overseas but still have a dancing career.
Ms Bauer choreographs all the Dancers4Events shows herself and recently had troupe’s perform at a Sydney Kings game.
Before she headed back overseas for a while in late 2015 her talented dancers did a Cabaresque show at Anita’s Theatre and performed at the Illawarra Business Awards and other venues such as City Beach Function Centre.
Her troupe has also been active in the NSW club scene for the past three years showcasing major professional production shows.
