“Most subdivisions nowadays are 500 metres or less, and only have 15 metre frontages,” Mr Turland said. “It’s a big country, I don’t know why we can’t all live on an acre.”
He’s built a four-bedroom, two-bathroom contemporary house on a 3827 square metre block in Mittagong and now selling it for $890k – $960k.
It comes with alfresco area, large kitchen with Caesar Stone waterfall island bar, double garage and freestanding shed.
Having built the property and lived in it for almost three years, Mr Turland has now bought a vacant block and plans to repeat the process – his “retirement plan”.
