A man has been charged with menacing driving and being armed with intent to commit an indictable offence after allegedly driving through Wollongong’s Crown Street Mall on Thursday.

A green Hyundai sedan allegedly entered the pedestrian area of the mall about 8.30pm, police said.
Security staff were able to stop the vehicle and Wollongong police arrested a 42-year-old man.
He was charged with menacing driving, armed with intent to commit an indictable offence, and intimidation.
He was refused bail and will appear in Wollongong Local Court on Friday.
No one was injured during the incident.
