Coenraad has been the Hawks’ best player through the opening two games of the playoffs with a pair of sensational performances off the bench.
He is averaging 21.5 points and seven rebounds over the two matches.
Coenraad exploded for a game-high 26 points in game one before returning finishing with a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds in Illawarra’s 100-94 win on Sunday afternoon.
Hawks coach Rob Beveridge said Coenraad’s impact has been ‘amazing’ for his side in their pursuit of a second NBL title.
"I am so pleased for the guy," Beveridge said.
"He is playing loose and free with a licence.
"To me, I want zero pressure on Timmy to go out and be that microwave type of player and shoot those shots.
"He is making them at the moment and if he doesn't someone else is picking up the slack."
Coenraad, who is playing in his eighth season with the Hawks, has been deadly from three point range, shooting 9/14 (64%) in the playoffs so far.
