Like the singer/songwriter himself, Charm Offensive is hitting all the right notes with critics and fans alike.
The majority of the 10 songs are stories about love and the album title reflects the positive vibe and sound they convey overall.
Coming almost three years after his debut album, Keene collaborated with some of Australia’s finest songwriters and producers to complete Charm Offensive, including Golden Guitar winner Allan Caswell, who co-wrote several tracks.
‘’I’m very proud of this album,’’ he said.
‘’It brings together so many elements of my live sound and musical influences, but demonstrates that I can do more than just rock out. There are soft moments on this record and I love every song on it.’’
So does Sony Music Australia, who will distribute the album at all good music stores and digital music retailers from March 3.
Keene believes listeners will love it too.
‘’If you’re a fan of Keith Urban, The Eagles and Fleetwood Mac, you’ll be into it,’’ he said.
‘’I’m looking forward to launching the album on Sydney Harbour. It’s a great day out and family friendly. Live music and great views on a special occasion.’’
The album launch on Sunday, February 26 will be at the King Street Wharf 6 on the Rocks Rhythm Boat at 11am.
Tickets cost $50 for adults and $10 for children under 15. Bookings are preferred at: http://www.trybooking.com/MLPA
