Perth’s star duo have been arguably the NBL’s most dangerous offensive pairing over the past month and Beveridge knows his side will need to have a handle on them if they are any chance of getting the upper hand in their grand final series.

So much so that the NBL championship winning coach even plans on seeking the opinion of a rival NBL coach to fine tune his plan to combat the Wildcats star pairing.

"I will be watching a fair bit of tape to see if there is an Achilles heal and I am even going to give [Cairns coach Aaron Fearne] a call and have a chat to him,” Beveridge said.

"I will seek help from everywhere."

The Hawks are yet to face Cotton this season after he was brought in by the Wildcats midway through the campaign to replace fellow American Jaron Johnson.

A former Utah Jazz guard, he averaged 22 points per game in 13 NBL regular season appearances. Prather, who is destined for the NBA Summer League in the off-season, has been similarly productive while averaging 19.6 points and 4.6 rebounds.

They combined for a massive 56 points in Perth’s 91-69 semi-final game one drubbing of Fearne’s Cairns outfit.

Prather then had a game-high 24 points with 10 rebounds in Perth’s sealing game two win.

"They have gone to a different level now so we have got to be [ready for that]," Beveridge said.
