Mrs Harrison-Shaw has many well known people helping across the day starting in Crown Street Mall near IMB from 8am with Marty Haynes. Wollongong Lord Mayor Gordon Bradbery will be arriving by trike at 9am and didgeridoo player Mark King will help give a welcome to country. Scott McRae is also participating.
Mrs Harrison-Shaw and Bulli Forager Markets organiser Kirrily Sinclair came up with the idea and want it to become an annual event. Businesses can sponsor and hour and invite staff and customers and local identities can interact with everyone while they are cooking and flipping pancrepes that can be bought for charity. “By eating a pancrepe you are going to be helping a local family so please eat lots of pancrepes on Friday”.
The fundraiser runs until 1pm and updates about who will be flipping when will be posted on the Need A Feed Pancake Bar Facebook page.
There will also be roving performers and a chill-out area with bean bags and chairs for people to take a break from work or shopping during the day.
