Less than 800 general admission tickets remain available just two days out from Wednesday’s clash at the WIN Entertainment Centre.
“It’s been a good response and we’ve seen a huge uptake from members,” Illawarra Hawks general manager Kim Welch said on his return from Perth to Wollongong on Monday afternoon.
Between now and tipoff and at the rate they’re going we should expect a full house on Wednesday night.

“About 80 per cent of our members took up their finals tickets option There is only 800 general public tickets. Between now and tipoff and at the rate they’re going we should expect a full house on Wednesday night.”
A significant increase on prices from the regular season tickets has seemingly not phased Illawarra basketball fans.

“An NBL levy applies to the finals tickets, but we give our members a discounted price for their loyalty,” Mr Welch said.
“Relatively, across the board, we’d still be the least expensive club to come and see.”
A “sellout” would mean a loud and vocal crowd of 5000 behind the Illawarra Hawks, who went down in fighting style to the powerful Wildcats unit at the Perth Arena on Sunday night.
“We’ve got passionate fans and no doubt our guys respond to the energy,” Mr Welch said.
“If we can hold this game we are guaranteed game four and could potentially be playing for a championship on our home court.
“These moments don’t come around often. This is only our fourth championship series so jump on board and enjoy the moment with us.”
In addition, on Wednesday special pyrotechnicians from the Melbourne United club have been brought in to provide the Illawarra Hawks players with a special entry into the stadium.
Tipoff for Wednesday’s game will be 7.30 pm, with the WIN Entertainment Centre doors open from 6.30 pm and doors to the court open from 6.45 pm.
The Hawks travelled back from Perth on Monday and will fly back to Perth later on in the week for game three of the best-of-five series on Sunday.
