Now in its third year the program invites community groups and not-for-profit organisations to apply for grants of up to $10,000.
The IRT Foundation wants to support local initiatives that improve the lives of older residents in their communities.
The grants scheme has already invested close to $300,000 in 32 community projects in NSW, the ACT and South-East Queensland.
IRT Foundation manager Toby Dawson said the program is all about helping people to age positively.
“We want to support people to participate, contribute and enjoy living as they move from their working life, into retirement and then into later life,” he said.
The program is designed to support projects that align with the World Health Organization's (WHO) Age-Friendly Cities Framework.
Online applications close on March 31 at www.irtfoundation.org.au.
