A tip-off brought Lake Illawarra police to the woman’s Fitzgerald Street address about midday, Tuesday.
Police allegedly found the plants growing out of the ground, 10 of them to a height of about 1.2 metres. Another three were allegedly thriving, reaching heights of around 2.4 metres.
Police spoke to 47-year-old woman, who allegedly admitted to cultivating the plants.
The woman was issued a court attendance notice.
She will appear before Port Kembla Local Court on April 11, charged with cultivating a prohibited plant.
