Twenty-first century students require schooling that can best prepare them for the challenges of this rapidly changing world. Catholic education promotes the holistic development of students and at St Joseph’s Catholic School, students are given opportunities to grow academically, socially and spiritually.
The classrooms are full of students with a diverse range of interests and abilities and the curriculum reflects these. There are opportunities for extension in class and through the Academic Enrichment elective course, the Science and Writing Club. Those requiring learning support frequently have access to two dedicated teachers in the classroom.

Teachers at St Joseph’s are committed to helping students to flourish socially and offer extra curricula activities for students. Students can join sporting teams, perform in school musicals or spend lunchtimes creating greeting cards in the Creative Arts rooms.
The most significant characteristic that sets Catholic education apart is the chance students are given for spiritual development. At St Joseph’s, students study Religious Education from Year 7 and in addition to developing in their own faith, they learn about other religions and cultures which is instrumental in fostering understanding and tolerance. This religious education moves beyond the walls of the classroom as students participate in a range of social justice activities raising awareness of and funds for various charities.
