Edmund Rice College is celebrating Catholic Schools Week with an Open Day set down for Wednesday, March 8 with activities across the College from 4pm.
School tours will take place during the week for visitors and prospective families keen to see the school in operation.
A coordinated building program has accompanied the rapid growth in the school, which has reached 1083 students in 2017, a 35 per cent increase since 2012.
The modern facilities on offer have been enhanced over the past three years with developments including a new 1500 seat hall with extensive indoor sports facilities, a state of the art learning centre and a music centre.

The College is currently embarking on a project, which will add a five-room art complex and upgraded TAS facilities including a new commercial kitchen and workshop.
As the only boys’ school in the Illawarra, the College has extensive curricula initiatives and extracurricular sports and cultural programs tailored to boys learning.
A record of excellent academic results is well demonstrated in last years’ HSC school results where Edmund Rice students gained 4 of the 8 All Rounder awards in the Illawarra (results over 90 in 10 units of study) and 67 student entries on the distinguished achiever list.
The College values of Compassion, Dignity, Service and Solidarity are embedded in the life of the school, which has as a core goal the development of boys into fine young men.
