Mrs Knill said the feedback was they loved the way Karen Meiring de Gonzalez, of Skin Correctives, was so willing to share her personal story and the challenges she overcame to be a successful businesseswoman. “People said it was really good that they got to hear Karen’s talk about her own struggles because knowing someone with such a successful business has challenges made it real for them. She made them feel like anything is possible. They can look at her story and it makes them feel like they can do it to.”
The importance of developing a right culture created discussion as was how she managed to balance work life balance with a busy business and a family. She spoke of how she and her husband Christian shared roles. Many were impressed when Mrs Meiring de Gonzalez said she still spends up to three hours a week getting coaching. “There was surprise about that. She attributed a lot of her success to her coaching”. The next speaker on March 23 is Monique Field from McGrath Estate Agents Kiama.
