“I am thrilled to continue my role at NTI, as this is an exciting time for its strategic growth,” Professor Lovegrove said.
“As Australia’s first government accredited tertiary education institution grounded in Buddhist values and wisdom, there are many exciting opportunities ahead for NTI.
“My priorities over the next few years are to expand NTI’s degrees by introducing an undergraduate degree in human services, to expand access to NTI study for more students through online delivery and to partner with universities to allow their students to do some subjects at NTI.”
It comes after Professor Lovegrove was awarded Officer in the order of Australia on January 26, for his service to leadership in the tertiary education sector, developing academia in regional areas and research efforts.
Previous executive positions held by Professor Lovegrove include Vice-Chancellor and President of the University of Southern Queensland, Senior Deputy Vice Chancellor at Griffith University and senior positions at the University of Wollongong after commencing his academic career at the University of Tasmania.
