WOLLONGONG’S Angus Glover will have the chance to impress NBA scouts when he plays for the world team to play USA representative at the annual Hoop Summit.

The Australian under 19 player will fly to Portland, Oregon to play on April 9 (AEDT).
His selection puts him alongside Dante Exum, Ben Simmons and Thon Maker to have played in the marquee international junior fixture.
Glover had a taste of top-level basketball in the NBL this season, playing three games in the Illawarra Hawks push to the grand final series, where they were beaten by Perth. During the season, Hawks coach Rob Beveridge said Glover had a big future ahead.
“I think the kid’s a very, very special player and he probably doesn’t understand how good he actually is,” Beveridge said.
“He’s got a really good feel for the game and we were really pleased for him. His teammates love him as well, he’s just a great kid and he’s got a very, very bright future for sure.”
Glover last year committed to joining US College St Mary’s, the breeding ground for NBA stars Patty Mills and Matthew Dellevedova.
It comes as the son of Hawks assistant coach Eric Cooks, Xavier, played for Winthrop in the March Madness tournament on Friday morning (AEDT) against import Rotnei Clarke’s former college Butler.
The 195-centimetre guard was delighted to be selected in the world team.
