A scarily life-like, 11 metre long, anatomically correct model of a Tyrannosaurus rex was ready for action on Wednesday, with dinosaur experts on hand to dissect any myths.
Jackson Eather from Sydney’s Australian Museum was on hand to dispel myths about the ancient beasts and explain the anatomy of the T-rex.
“We now know T-rex had feathers like a bird and were very closely related to birds,” he said.
The $600,000 model will remain on exhibit at the shopping centre until April 25 with an array of dinosaur related activities (like excavation dig, movies and dino disco) for kids during the school holidays.
