Members of Ocean Beach Hotel FC and Warilla Hotel FC did friendly battle last weekend in their annual inter-pub competition.

Sunday’s weigh-in was a see-saw affair with Ocean Beach eventually pipping Warilla by 226 points and allowing the Ocean Beach crew to rack up a third consecutive win. A sensational friendly comp with great comradre and a bit of sledging from both sides.
Berkeley Hotel AFC last comp was down on numbers. Junior BRE biggest catch went to Kynan Penfold as well as biggest fish with his 540 gram flatty and runner-up was Ankh Penfold also with a flathead.
Ladies BRE Biggest Catch went to Brigitte Fryer with flathead and whiting, Biggest Fish went to Natasha Tonkin with her 500 gram flatty. She also weighed in bream and claimed runner-up.
Men’s BRE biggest catch went to Ricky Galvin weighing in bream, snapper, whiting and flathead and he also had largest fish. Tyler Penfold was runner up.
Men’s deep sea biggest catch went to Mick Honan with a mixed bag of morwong and flathead with his 1.6 kilo flatty taking out biggest fish. Next comp will be held over weekend April 7-9.
Meantime, Mark from Kiama Game wishes to remind interested anglers of their 2017 Blowhole Game Tournament that will be held out of Kiama harbour over April 1-2 weekend.
