Last weekend 40 plus builders, tradies and plasterers assembled at Kiama Harbour for the 10th annual Plastamasta/South Coast distributors fishing invitational comp.

Convenor Paul Farrugia from Plastamasta at Yallah engaged the services of Kiama charter boats, Kostalota and Signa and also Capt Joe from Shellharbour Charters – FV Argus as well as a few private trailer boats.
The morning started perfectly but as the day wore on, conditions deteriorated and despite a few wet souls, most had good catches.
Awards went to Julian Viselli largest fish overall with his 840mm dolphin fish, best reef fish to Steve Barwick with a 710mm snapper and smallest was an aquarium sized leather jacket of 155mm for Antonio Tasi.
Despite the conditions, all held onto their breakfast but Tony Burgess was awarded the seasick award by unanimous vote from the crew that fished on while he slept.

Mount Kembla Village Hotel FC held their monthly comp on the weekend and despite bad conditions being forecast, the weigh master was kept surprisingly busy.
Jason Beasley fished both BRE and Bluewater to take out most points including a 7.8 kg mulloway from St Georges Basin. Grady Irwin weighed in three snapper over 3kg to be runner-up.
Jan Wilson released a personal best 93 centimetre dusky flathead. Junior BRE went to Zayn Vaughan. Brother Kade won junior angler and dad Will, took out the mystery fish with a flounder.
