Why is there no uproar?
I am agitated to hear about another chemical weapons attack in Syria which has killed and sickened many including women and children.

Sadly, The Syrian conflict has resulted in massive civilian casualties, mass migration and infrastructure destruction.
A lot of hospitals and medical clinics are also being targeted in the air strikes.
I wonder why there is no uproar in the civilized western world about these war crimes.
I am not convinced that western countries are taking serious steps to end the conflict.
There is a great need to understand the real extent of this Crisis and increase our foreign aid.
I urge our Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and foreign Minister Julie Bishop to take bold stand against the ongoing barbarity and war crimes in Syria.

FACS is being transparent
I am writing on behalf of the NSW Department of Family and Community Services (FACS) in response to the article, On the street? by Rachel Browne, published on April 4, 2017.
For the record, the department acknowledges the valuable work Youth Off the Streets (YOTS) does with young people across a range of services.
Residential care for young people who are in the care of the Minister is due for an overhaul. It is not serving them as well as it could.
FACS is currently undertaking a robust procurement process and service providers were asked to put their best case forward in an expression of interest.
26 service providers were selected to progress from the expression of interest to the request for tender stage – a further 26 applicants were unsuccessful and YOTS was one of eight existing providers in that group.
FACS has been transparent with all service providers and senior FACS staff met with senior YOTS staff, providing detailed feedback, including reasons for the decision on 20th March 2017.
All discussions took place in the presence of an independent probity advisor. FACS has consulted with non-government agencies, including YOTS, throughout this reform and there is broad agreement that NSW needs a high performing system for supporting vulnerable children and young people.
I want to reassure you that the new therapeutic system will focus on the recovery from trauma and abuse and support all children and young people to transition to a safe, permanent and loving environment.

Mischievous and inaccurate
Response to the letter by John Macleod, "DETERIORATING LIFE QUALITY" Mercury, Tuesday April 4, 2017.
What mischievous and inaccurate nonsense from Mr Macleod.
(1) Our country is going backwards because our Federal government is held hostage by Labor, Greens and cross-benchers.
So they cannot govern properly and/or pay off the national debt.
(2) Our electricity prices are outrageously high because were are closing down coal-fired power stations in favour of renewable energy sources. Pensioners, families, business and government will suffer because of the advocates who push nation wrecking green policies.
(3) Whether you are rich or poor healthcare and education are available to all.
The agenda of the progressive socialist-left want marriage destroy through re-definition, children brainwashed in LGBT lifestyle and gender fluidity crap, businesses to collapse, high unemployment and economic chaos. So don't hand people garbage, Mr Macleod.
