There are the indisputable facts. A man called Jesus died on a Roman cross on a Friday at a place called Golgotha.
Three days later, he rose from the grave and his empty tomb was discovered by his followers.
But what is really newsworthy is what this story tells us about ourselves. The news of Jesus is the news for us.
The good news of Easter is that God has provided in Jesus a place of absolute and resolute security.
With Jesus we are offered forgiveness, acceptance and love that will never fail us.
To each of us it is the offer of a new beginning with God. This is the news that speaks to everyone.
Easter means our hope and vision for the future is found in Jesus. We are accepted as we are and guaranteed a new life with Jesus now and for eternity.
This is the story that has changed many lives.
The news of Easter is that there is no better hope than Jesus.
