On Thursday afternoon, April 13, 2017, Dayton police and paramedics responded to a report of an unconscious man in the passenger seat of a car parked at a local business on East Third Street, Dayton, Ohio. They administered Narcan, also known as Naloxone, in their effort to revive him. The anti-overdose drug worked quickly and the man was transported from the scene to receive further medical treatment.

Dayton: So many people overdosed on opioids from late 2016 to January 2017, the Montgomery County Coroner Kent Harshbarger ran out of room at his office in Dayton, Ohio.
