Cowboys centre Enari Tuala reaped the rewards from early Dragons ill-discipline to go ahead early thought the Dragons hit back quickly to lead 6-4 through Zac Lomax who converted his own try.
It was their last joy of the match with Cowboys fullback Nathan Traill’s try midway through the first half openig the floodgates with winger Murray Taulagi scoring in the corner and a penalty goal from Jake Clifford helping the visitors 16-6 halftime lead.
The Cowboys didn’t take their foot of the pedal in the second half with back-rower Hiale Roycroft getting things underway before Tuala’s second try pushed the margin out to 24-6.
Skipper Mitch Dunn also got across before Taulangi bagged his second, proving the final insult as Marsters was assisted from the the field with a leg injury.
