A NOISE COMPLAINT
Like many people, we loved the Easter weather which brought thousands of visitors to the Coal Coast to enjoy walking, swimming, shopping and eating.

But the days were completely spoiled by excessive noise from motor bikes (mostly Harley Davidsons) and souped up cars.
Why is it possible for the behavior of a small number of selfish people to ruin the long weekend?
The police do nothing and no one seems to want to take the issue on.
Next weekend will be the same - feeling the ground shake as the bikes go by and the sound will be completely deafening.
No one pays attention to the speed limit and they disregard the impact that they have on the local residents. If this keeps going, we'll have to move out

VISA MOVE A SCAM
Well, what a scam, confidence trick or whatever one would like to label the LNP abolition of 457 Visas as announced yesterday by Prime Minister Turnbull.
The figures, according to Roy Morgan Research, puts the number of unemployed in Australia at 9.4 with, with in excess of 1.1 million Australians in dire straits with a further 1.1 million Australians under employed wanting to work more hours in order to support themselves and or their family.
The 457 Visa has come under constant attack as employers import workers in order to pay cheap wages as happens in many instances.
Prime Minister Turnbull thinks he can hoodwink the Australian public by changing the name that applies to all these overseas workers, and splitting them into two separate groups, one group can stay for two years and the other four years, there are a few very minor rule changes but essentially nothing has changed .
This subversive policy will not make it any easier, for the in excess of 2.2 million Australian people to find a job.
It is simply designed to relieve the political pressure of the anger directed at the LNP government for allowing 95,000 457 Visa holders into Australia to do every day Aussies out of a job.

AN ALTERNATE PROPOSAL
Would it be possible for our government to develop a work visa system that tells Australian employers “If you cannot find Australian workers to fill a position you can hire skilled workers from overseas for 2 years BUT for every overseas worker you hire you also need to hire an Australian trainee so we can employ skilled and trained Australians in these positions in the future” ?

FEELING HOODWINKED
I am a little bit taken back.
Over the last 10 or so years senator Nick Xenophon has played me for a fool.
Yep mug me has just realized that he really is looking after his own interest and not his South Australian followers.
He is a phony and a pseudo liberal who has sold out his electorate to a anti-worker, anti-pensioner , anti-healthcare and anti-family government.
He has made it clear that he is supporting huge tax breaks for companies and nothing for the average taxpayer who most are undergoing mortgage stress and employment stress.
What a hypocrite Nick Xenophon has turned out to be.
Silly me I should have known better. After all he is a ex-Liberal with Liberal philosophies.

HORSES FOR COURSES
You seem to miss the point Alan Bond. It’s a mountain bike track not walking track. Plenty of other places you can go walk in bush. I don’t need to come round corner to find you standing in middle of track.
