Earlier: A multi-car accident on Mount Ousley Road has injured 13 people and affected traffic heading into Wollongong on Sunday morning.
Emergency services are responding to a reported a five car prang in the southbound lanes just before the Mount Pleasant turnoff.
Paramedics said the accident was “mostly nose-to-tail”, and had involved 14 people in the five cars.
At least two patients were expected to be transported to hospital, and one person was uninjured.
The crash happened just after 11am.
Two of three southbound lanes have been closed, and one lane of northbound traffic is also affected due to the access required by emergency services vehicles.
About 11.45am, all southbound lanes will be shut for a short time to allow paramedics to reach the accident scene.
Southbound traffic has been backed up to the Picton Road interchange.
Transport for NSW advises drivers to expect delays and exercise caution.
