Not only do the fans get another chance on Sunday afternoon, it is a top-of-the-table clash nonetheless.
The St George Illawarra Dragons are right in the mix early in this 2017 NRL season.
Sitting second, they will be hungry for a win against the first-placed Melbourne Storm on Sunday afternoon in what promises to be a perfect afternoon for footy.
The punters are expected to come out in full force and the WIN Stadium will be a sea of red and white.
Around the city the amount of people wearing their Dragons gear has been tenfold on what it was last year.
Undoubtedly 2016 was a tough year for the Dragons, who were criticised heavily for their style of play.
This year?
It has been a totally story with the Dragons, on most occasions, playing fast exciting football.
The Storm will provide a massive challenge to the Dragons, especially with the in-form but injured Gareth Widdop having to watch on from the sidelines.
The Storm’s only loss for the season came from the Cronulla Sharks who lie in wait for the Dragons in the next round in two weeks at UOW Stadium.
Next week is representative week which means whoever wins this game will lead the competition of the next two weeks.
What greater incentive could their be for the Dragons to reward their faithful with a victory at Wollongong's own WIN Stadium.

Each year some of the region’s personalities swap their day jobs to dance up a storm. The 2017 Stars of Wollongong Dance for Cancer will see a new crop of local identities doing their it to raise money for the Cancer Council.
The identities spend weeks rehearsing with fully qualified dancing partners to put on a show at the Stars of Wollongong gala dinner, this year being held at the WIN Entertainment Centre. Our very own Illawarra Mercury journalist Andrew Pearson will be one of the stars this year.
As part of his fundraising Andrew is giving away a double pass in a random draw to anyone who donates to his campaign. You can donate here at https://starsofwollongong2017.everydayhero.com/au/andrew-pearson.
