Police claim Thomas Validakis and his co-accused, Kenan Yerlikaya, were seen acting suspiciously inside a parked car in the Bunderleer housing estate in Warrawong on Saturday evening, prompting patrolling police to stop and speak with them.
Officers asked the pair their reason for being in the area, however it is alleged the duo could not come up with a decent answer and appeared nervous and tense, causing police to become even more suspicious.
The two men were removed from the vehicle and it was searched.
Police claim they found a water pipe used to administer crystal methamphetamine in Validakis’ pocket, along with $2,400 in cash.
He was then put into the back of a caged police vehicle away from public view and subjected to a strip search.
“A white piece of toilet tissue has fallen from between the buttocks of the accused,” police documents tendered to Wollongong Bail Court on Sunday said.

“The item was examined and found to contain a large amount of white crystal substance suspected of being ice.”
It was not revealed in court whether the substance was contained in a plastic bag inside the tissue or whether it was simply found in a loose state.
Police allege Validakis admitted ownership, saying “it’s mine, yeah it’s meth”.
Both men were arrested and charged with drug supply and possession charges.
Validakis allegedly confessed to having bought the drugs a few hours earlier for personal use, however also allegedly told police he sold to friends on occasion to support his own habit.
In court on Sunday, defence solicitor Angela Melouney said Validakis would agree to abide by strict conditions including daily reporting and a curfew if released on bail.
However Registrar Peter Ritchie refused the application, saying Validakis presented a risk to community safety.
