The host of Alive and Cooking will be taking cooking demonstations at the Castagne Day celebrations and filming it for an upcoming episode.
The May festival, which marks the beginning of the Italian nut season, pays tribute to Italians who survived World War II by gathering chestnuts and turning them into bread, after their corn and grain fields were bombed.
A 44-gallon drum full of chestnuts is turned by hand over flaming coals for the traditional Italian family day at club, which was established in 1953 by Italian migrants.
The day also includes markets stalls, entertainment, reptile show, martial arts demonstrations, international food stalls and is open to all in the community to celebrate an Italian tradition.
