The Million Paws Walk aims to support the RSPCA’s battle to stop animal cruelty, while proceeds from the Reddall Reserve event go towards the Unanderra shelter.
Event spokeswoman Alexie Bull said regardless, if the weather brings rain or not the show must go on, so urged dog-owners to grab a coat and umbrella.
“They need to be walked rail hail or shine,” she said, adding there will be fresh coffee on site.
Pups can enjoy the dog wash and fancy dress competition, while their human counterparts will like the market stalls, music and jumping castle.
The walk length is between 500 metres and 1.5 kilometres.
