I too am a prepper.

Not a Doomsday Prepper.

I’m a Big-Lotto-Win Prepper. 

When I was a kid my mum would put in her numbers each week.

I’d want to watch the draw, but she’d never let me. 

“I want to go to sleep dreaming about how I’ll spend the money,” she’d say with great optimism, “Pretending I’m on a yacht”.

It made me feel a bit sad at the time, but now I’m an adult I realise it’s just a really great hobby, and a way to be prepared for the future. 

If I win it big at Lotto I wouldn’t change anything for two weeks, just I’d carry on as normal to let it all sink in.

I’ve chosen my best friend’s dad to be my financial planner because I know he’d never rip me off.

I’d buy a house, put loads in a high interest savings account and give away the interest to charity – the account would never run dry. 

I would hand out cash to family and friends, but never actually tell anyone other than my Mum how much I won.

Mum would get whatever she wanted.

Everyone else is being judged day in day out and will be rewarded accordingly.  My siblings and dad are first in line. 

Last week I bought a ticket in the $21million Saturday draw and had my biggest win yet! A massive $68.

Only twenty million, nine-hundred and ninety-nine thousand, nine hundred and thirty-two off. Sorry Mum.
