Cronulla officially announced Dugan’s signing on a four-year deal last week, after he failed to reach an agreement with St George Illawarra.
Dugan had declared he wants to play fullback next season, however, the Dragons had tabled an offer, with the expectation of a permanent switch to the centres.
However, there’s uncertainty about what position Dugan will play at Cronulla, with Valentine Holmes a a long-term No.1 option.
Having played in the successful 2014 Origin campaign, the 27-year-old is poised to line-up at right centre next Wednesday against Queensland.
It comes just three weeks after suffering a fractured cheekbone in Australia’s Test victory over New Zealand in Canberra. With Matt Moylan in the NSW camp in Sydney on stand-by, Dugan has not played for the Dragons since the Test.
