8am: As many as five cars have been involved in an accident on the M1 Princes Motorway at Mt Ousley.

The accident happened just after 8am on the southbound side of the motorway just before the New Mount Pleasant Road overpass.

Live Traffic is reporting that one of the three southbound lanes is closed.

Police and ambulance crews are on the scene. It is understood that no one is seriously injured.
