Wollongong GFC boat “Stainless Stil” had a “sharkin” session last weekend and successfully captured a 154.5kg mako shark on just 15 kilo line class. The crew of four reported many more and much larger sharks were hooked including one very large cranky one that was lost after a considerable fight that went into the Sunday evening darkness.

Amberjack and a mixed bag of reef species were caught on Kiama charter boat Seaker last weekend is very pleasant conditions.
Striped Marlin have also been about with Jervis Bay canyon area the pick of the spots and radio chatter indicating there was a strong striped marlin bite as far south as Bermagui.
Mark from Kiama Game advised this weekend sees the end of the summer pointscore with the comp a wide open contest.
The club’s annual presentation night is on June 17 at Kiama Leagues Club with tickets costing $25pp. The raffle is shaping to be great value with sensational prizes.
